I love bananas. I love avocados. And I love chocolate. So this was just a combination of everything I like thrown into the blender!
In our hot weather, whenever I needed a cool mid afternoon snack, instead of reaching out for ice cream, I’d make this instead 😁

INSTRUCTIONS
- Throw everything into a blender.
- Blend.
- Pour into glass.
- Drink up and enjoy!
Helpful Tips:
- I sometimes keep a few ripe bananas (before they over-ripen) in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. This preserves the bananas and ensures a refreshingly cool smoothie. You can skip the ice cubes if you are using frozen bananas.
- You can have a love-hate relationship with avocados. When they are at their perfect stage of “ripeness”, they’re beautiful to work with. Wait 30 seconds too long, they over-ripen and their flesh turns brown.
- If you prefer your smoothie to have a consistency that’s more like a milk shake, i.e. less liquid-y, use less almond milk. About 700 to 750 ml would work.
